The Frontiers Post

Hon. Wamboka Jephther Prince, a prospective Member of Parliament and likely flag bearer for the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) in the Bulambuli constituency, and also team lead of Sceptre Nations Ministries has confirmed his participation in an upcoming high-level meeting of Christian professionals. This event, organized by the Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC), is scheduled for October 3, 2024, in Kampala.

The meeting aims to gather Christian professionals, including lawyers and advocates from various denominations, to champion change through advocacy. The focus will be on influencing discriminatory policies, regulations, and practices at local, regional, and national levels. It also seeks to empower the Church in Uganda, enabling it to take a more active role in shaping government policies and regulations.

"This workshop aims to mobilize and engage Christian professionals, including lawyers and advocates from different Christian denominations, to appreciate their role in advocating for change and influencing discriminatory policies, regulations, and practices. It also aims to empower the Church in Uganda, through UJCC, to proactively engage in initiatives that increase its influence on government policies and regulations," the invitation stated in part.

The event is expected to provide a vital platform for dialogue between religious leaders and government officials, with the goal of achieving outcomes that benefit all stakeholders.
