Frontiers Post  Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, has confirmed a tragic incident involving a fuel tanker that overturned and burst into flames along the Kampala-Bombo highway in Kigowa, Kasangati, Wakiso District. The accident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. While the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, Uganda has seen an increase in road-related incidents involving fuel tankers. According to the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA), there has been a 12% rise in tanker accidents in the past two years, attributed to poor road conditions and reckless driving.
